Czech is contracted to Stamford Bridge until 2016.
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is set to follow defender David Luiz by joining mega-rich Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain next season, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.
The experienced Czech Republic international is set to lose his place as the west London club’s first-choice shot stopper at Stamford Bridge next season, with the Blues’ head coach Jose Mourinho now planning on recalling keeper Thibaut Courtois from his latest season-long loan spell with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid this summer.
And with Cech also still recovering from the dislocated shoulder that he suffered playing against Atleti in the semi-finals of the Uefa Champions League in the Spanish capital last month, the 31-year-old is not now expected to be fit in time to start the new campaign, meaning that the Belgium international will instead become the club’s new No 1.
All of which means that PSG are set to pounce to lure Cech across the Channel to the Parc des Princes with the Parisians’ boss Laurent Blanc currently in need of a new custodian in the French capital next season.
