Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a huge double swoop to sign Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and striker Demba Ba.

The French side won Ligue 1 by a nine-point margin this season, but their rich Qatari owners are keen to strengthen the squad further in an attempt to challenge for the Champions League next term.

Hazard, who has scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists in 69 Premier League games, is PSG’s main summer target.

The 23-year-old is seen as the ideal player to provide the ammunition for mercurial frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Parc des Princes.

Hazard and Ba are very close friends and PSG hope to use that bond to their advantage.

Ba is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and £7m should be enough to secure his services.

The 29-year-old would be a decent understudy to Ibrahimovic, having scored well over 100 league goals, including 43 in England and 37 in Germany.

PSG think that signing Ba could unsettle Hazard at Chelsea and pave the way for his summer exit.

The Parisian giants are aware that the Blues will insist on making a significant profit on the £32m that they paid Lille for Hazard in June 2012.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reckons that £68m may be enough to land the Belgian star, who has been capped 45 times at senior international level.

PSG have already agreed a deal to sign Chelsea’s Brazilian defender David Luiz this summer.
