The Ligue 1 winners only brought the player to the club last summer is a £27m deal from Italian giants Roma, but he could now be set to move on yet again after enhancing his profile in the French capital.

Reports in Spain are claiming that Barcelona are lurking for his signature and are preparing a £35m offer of their own, and PSG are reported to be interested in entering talks as the deal would make them a quick profit.

Marquinhos may also be moved on in the wake of David Luiz’s move to the club after the World Cup as his place will surely come under threat from the Brazilian.

Marquinhos, still just 20, struggled to establish himself in the first team last year with Thiago Silva and Alex often preferred to him at centre-back.

With that in mind Manchester City are also keen on making a move for him as they look for defensive reinforcements of their own this summer.
