The 30-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Nou Camp and could be on his way out this summer should the club decide to cash in on him now instead of ending his six-year association with the club for nothing.

“I have always said that I want long-term projects rather than short term,” he said.
“In fact, what I want, are challenges, I was born for this. And if the challenge involves going elsewhere, I’ll be happy.
“Paris? I think it is a great club. And I love playing for the big clubs, that’s what I dream.
“What I want is to play for clubs that have the capacity to offer me challenges.
“And PSG is a great club … There has been some noise about it, and If I do not stay in Barcelona it is a real alternative for me.”
