Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to do his summer transfer window business early this year and has moves in place for four potential Emirates Stadium additions, all of whom are in World Cup action in Brazil.

CaughtOffside understands that Wenger is looking to avoid the prospect of a last minute dash to bring in much needed reinforcements and has been handed a significant transfer war-chest with the hope of putting in promising enough offers for the quartet of players he has earmarked bids for.

Most pressing for Wenger is the need to re-shape the Arsenal attack, which last term relied almost solely on Olivier Giroud, who as a result experienced something of a poor spell in the middle of the campaign.

As well as looking to support Giroud the Arsenal manager will look to bring in two strikers who can offer more options up front who could indeed out-gun the former Montpellier man.

Loic Remy France

Wenger is ready to fork out £12m for QPR’s Loic Remy with the north London side confident of landing the French international this summer with Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp all but confirming that the former Marseille man would leave the club on a permanent basis after a successful season on loan at Newcastle United last term.

Arsenal’s number one target this summer is now Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, who has made it clear he wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Romelu Lukaku has more than proven himself at Premier League level, scoring 17 goals during his loan spell at West Brom in 2012/13 before another successful temporary switch at Everton where his displays helped the Toffees to mount a genuine push for a top four finish under boss Roberto Martinez.

Indeed two of his 16 goals for Everton last term came against Arsenal, further fueling Wenger’s interest in the powerful marksman.

However for whatever reason it appears Jose Mourinho is unwilling to consider the 21 year old Belgian as a first team regular and his decision to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is seemingly the last straw for Lukaku.

Wenger is confident that Lukaku would jump at the chance of a move from west to north London and has been given the go ahead from his board to make an opening £25m bid for the Chelsea man in the coming days.

Serge Aurier Toulouse

Arsenal are also said to be in the advanced stages of a deal to bring in long term target Serge Aurier.

Having failed to retain the services of veteran right-back Bacary Sagna, after months of attempting to tie the defender to a new deal, Arsene Wenger will fork out the £8m needed to bring in the young Toulouse wide-man.

In an effort to add more steel to his midfield Arsene Wenger will look to be the latest club to make a move for a member of Southampton’s over-achieving side.

Morgan Schneirderlin Southampton

Morgan Schneiderlin is a player Wenger has scouted for some time and now that the tough tackler has been drafted into Didier Dechamps World Cup squad the Arsenal manager is keen to make an offer for the 24 year old’s services before other interested parties appear on the scene.

Having helped the Saints to back to back promotions from League One the former Strasbourg man has been a very able performer in the Premier League and could be seen as an ideal replacement for veteran Spaniard Mikel Arteta.

Wenger is ready to offer £15m for the St Mary’s star.
