Barcelona, for one of few first times in recent footballing history, finished last season without any silverware.

Under new manager Luis Enrique, they’ll be desperate for it not to happen again.

As a result, we reckon they’ll make some shrewd transfers this summer to add to the already star-studded Nou Camp squad.

Here’s how they could start in 2014/15…

GK) Marc andre ter Stegen

The young German keeper joined from Borussia Monchengladbach earlier in the summer, to replace stalwart stopper Victor Valdes, who is leaving on a free transfer on the expiration of his contract.

DR) Dani Alves

One of the best fullbacks in world football, Alves provides Barcelona with a consistently exciting and dynamic force up the right flank. He’s still got a few years left at the very top.

DC) Gerard Pique

Barcelona’s first-choice central defender suffered with injuries last term, and will likely be lining up alongside a new partner with long-serving partner Carles Purol returing.
