PSG, one of the richest clubs in world football, could well make mega moves in the transfer market once again this summer, as they look to prepare themselves for a 2014/15 Champions League challenge.
Here’s how they could line up if they secure their biggest targets.
GK) Salvatore Sirigu
By no means a household name, Italian stopper Sirigu does a very good and consistent job between the sticks for PSG. In fact, he’s the only player who started for the Parisians before their billionaire cash injection that still does now.
DR) Dani Alves
The Brazilian could well complete a move to France after his World Cup duties with Brazil, following recent comments that seemed to encourage the speculation about a transfer from Barcelona.
“Paris? I think it is a great club. And I love playing for the big clubs. That’s what I dream of,” Goal reports.
“What I want is to play for clubs that can offer me challenges. And PSG is a great club.
“There has been some talk about it, and if I do not stay at Barcelona, it [PSG] is a real alternative for me.”
DC) Thiago Silva
The world’s best central defender is currently captaining his country at this summer’s World Cup, and he’ll be heading back to France to start alongside his national team partner David Luiz next year as well!
