Emirates Stadium side close in on top quality youngster signing.
Check in to Greece vs Cote d’Ivoire
Arsenal are edging ever nearer to securing long term target Serge Aurier with the Metro claiming that the north London side have agreed personal terms with the Toulouse right-back.
The 21 year old is currently on international duty with Ivory Coast and put in a solid pair of World Cup performances thus far, perhaps hastening Arsene Wenger’s pursuit of the youngster.
Wenger failed to persuade Bacary Sagna to sign a new Gunners contract and has subsequently joined Man City and Aurier is seen as the man to fill the Frenchman’s spot, no doubt challenging England man Carl Jenkinson for the right-back berth.
Arsenal have made an opening offer of £8m which they hope will be accepted by Ligue 1 side Toulouse but Aurier has accepted a contract offer made by the Premier League outfit.
Aurier will put pen to paper on a five year deal worth £60k a week and Arsenal will look to secure a deal to bring in the defender in the coming days.
Liverpool and QPR are also both known to be tracking Aurier.
