Blues expected to land PSG winger.
Chelsea have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi over an £18m summer move to Stamford Bridge, according to the Metro.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent times, with Arsenal also believed to be among his admirers, though their interest may now have cooled.
Lavezzi first established himself as a quality attacking midfielder at previous club Napoli before becoming a big-money signing for PSG and helping them to two consecutive title wins in Ligue 1, though he has not quite found his best form at the Parc des Princes.
The Argentine is currently on international duty with his country at the World Cup, but a move to the Premier League could be on later this summer as the two clubs look to put the finishing touches on an £18m deal to see him come to London.
The two sides have already done business this summer, with Brazilian centre-back David Luiz moving in the opposite direction in a £50m move, while Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has also been linked with the French champions.
Despite plenty of competition in the wide positions at Chelsea, Lavezzi could be a good addition for the Blues if he can rediscover his best form.
