Liverpool striker Luis Suarez’s transfer to Catalan giants FC Barcelona is nearly complete, reports the Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan is set to make his dream move after having agreed personal terms with the Spanish side, who have also agreed a £75 million fee with the Reds for the transfer.
Barcelona also confirmed the £30 million exit of forward Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal, which means that the path is clear for them to pay up the massive fee and bring Suarez to Catalonia.
Barca are using the £30 million gained from Sanchez’s transfer to fund part of the transfer fee for the prolific Suarez, who netted an astounding 31 goals in 37 games in all competitions last season.
The sale of the controversial striker would be a huge blow for the Reds as he single handedly carried the team at difficult times last season and played a major role in the club’s commendable 2nd place finish.
