Premier League stadium is ready for the new campaign.
Arsenal played 29 competitive home fixtures last season, meaning that the pitch at the Emirates Stadium took a bit of a pounding.
The North London venue will play host to the Emirates Cup this weekend, as the Gunners, Benfica, AS Monaco and Valencia do battle over two days of intense pre-season action.
Arsenal’s ground staff have been working hard to ensure that the field of play is in tip-top condition for the glamourous friendly tournament.
They seem to have done a great job.
The below picture was uploaded to Arsenal’s official Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon, along with the message: “The pitch has been marked out for the first time this season. Getting close now!”
This year’s Emirates Cup will be the seventh edition of the event, which Arsenal have won three times.
Other past champions include Hamburg, New York Red Bulls and Galatasaray.
