The Holland international, who impressed at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, has been linked with both United and Barcelona in recent weeks.

And following Richard Witschge’s recent comments claiming that he expected the 24-year-old to move on this summer, the stage seems set for him to make the move to Old Trafford and join his former national team boss in the Premier League.

And now Blind has confessed that a move to England is very appealing to him, and that he would find it tough to turn United down should they come calling.

“Of course, it’s flattering when you’re linked with clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona,” Blind said.

“It would be very hard to turn down these kind of clubs. But there’s no serious interest as of yet.

“You can never make promises in football. When you make a promise, you have to stick to it. There are plenty of players who promise to stay and then leave after all. I am keeping my options open. I am very happy in Amsterdam and at Ajax, but you never know what could happen.”
