Fiorentina reckon they can secure the Champions League and World Cup winning German Sami Khedira for a bargain fee, which if true, will surely alert the attention of other clubs around Europe…
Spanish publication AS claim that Carlo Ancelotti managed Real Madrid are prepared to offload the exceptional midfielder for just £10m, because his contract runs out in one year’s time. Serie A side Fiorentina are desperate to secure a deal for the 27-year-old, who has previously been linked to Arsenal.
Khedira’s contract situation means any club could offer him a deal in January, meaning Los Blancos would not receive a fee for his services. As a result, Real Madrid are ready to accept a reduced fee for his services.
Although Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has previously cooled any Khedira rumours, he has today admitted that Arsenal are very much still in the market for players before the transfer window closes.
His side need a holding midfielder, and could offer Khedira better wages than the Italians, and Champions League football too, although as of yet, no official bid has been made.
