ESPN TV pundit Stewart Robson, who played for Arsenal between 1981 and 1986, has claimed that Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere needs to leave the club in order to make progress with his career.
England international Wilshere, 22, burst onto the scene as a teenager, making his Premier League debut in 2008. However, he missed the entire 2011-12 season through injury, and has struggled with his development since then.
Wilshere has been widely criticised for his performances in recent weeks. He was already under pressure having been pictured smoking again during the summer break, while he has so far failed to live up to his typically boisterous words ahead of the season, about the time being right to really make his mark on the Arsenal first team.
