Five Strikers Who Could Make Moves On Transfer Deadline Day

Posted by

4. Edinson Cavani

Like Falcao, Cavani moved to France last summer in a big money move. Paris St Germain paid over £50 million for the Uruguayan’s services however, the striker has unfortunately struggled to justify that price tag. At Napoli, Cavani was prolific, scoring 38 goals in 43 appearances in his final season with the Italian club. At PSG, Cavani has struggled to have the same sort of impact. He rarely plays as the main striker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic still seen as the main man at the Parc des Princes. A move away from PSG could benefit Cavani and their are several clubs interested in signing the striker.

The club who appears to be most interested are Arsenal. The Gunners have been monitoring Cavani all summer but may now decide to step up their interest following Olivier Giroud’s injury. Cavani certainly won’t come cheap with PSG looking to recoup most of the £50 million they paid for the striker however, if Cavani recaptures his form from his Napoli days then he will be an amazing signing.
