As far as impacts made by Arsenal’s summer signings it’s fair to say that teenager Chambers is the one who has already delivered. The former Southampton man has looked calm, assured and ‘Tony Adams-esque’ thus far and the future looks bright with the youngster at the back, or indeed in a defensive midfield role if needs be.
With Wenger losing Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona, and opting to not bring in a further defensive option, Chambers will be expected to ‘hit the ground running’ this term and has thus far proven more than capable.
