Reds determined to sign superb midfield playmaker.
Liverpool may be the favourites to win the race for Napoli attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik this January, according to Fichajes.net.
The Slovakian international looks set to be available in the upcoming winter transfer window, with some speculation that Napoli could make major changes, including sacking their current manager Rafael Benitez.
However, Hamsik may be one of the Reds’ top targets for January, with manager Brendan Rodgers still determined to sign more attacking players despite bringing in the likes of Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic during the summer, with these new arrivals failing to make the desired impact for his side so far.
Hamsik could certainly be an upgrade, with the 27-year-old showing himself to be one of the finest creative midfield players in the Italian top flight for many years now, as well as showing a keen eye for goal from the middle of the park.
Hamsik has reached double figures in goals in all but one of his seven seasons with the club, and may now be ready for a new challenge at a bigger club.
