Former star Gerard Pique is a January target
Alves isn’t the only Barca defender being targeted by the 13-time Premier League champions as a New Year deal for Pique is lined up, according to the Daily Star.
The Spain international spent four years at the Theatre of Dreams previously between 2004 and 2008 and currently cuts a frustrated figure in Catalonia.
New head coach Luis Enrique prefers the central defensive partnership of Javier Mascherano and Jeremy Mathieu and this has left Pique sidelined.
