Spanish giants rival United for £35m star.
Real Madrid are said to be readying a bid to rival Manchester United for the signing of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.
The Spanish giants are on alert for the world class Chilean international after reports that he could be sold for just £35m this January as he looks to leave Turin.
Vidal has been with Juve since 2011 and has risen to become regarded as one of the best players in the world in his position, with United linked with him several times during this summer’s transfer window.
Still, the 27-year-old may now make his way to the Bernabeu this January as Real step up their interest in the player, with Carlo Ancelotti possibly eyeing him as an ideal replacement for Arsenal target Sami Khedira, who appears to be nearing a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Vidal could certainly help fill the void left by Khedira in the Madrid midfielder, and would become another big-name ‘Galactico’ signing for the club after deals for Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez this summer.
This would no doubt be a big blow for United, however, who may then look to AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman as an alternative.
