Emirates Stadium star not happy to warm the bench much longer.
Arsenal striker Lukas Podoslki will discuss his future at the Emirates Stadium with boss Arsene Wenger before considering a possible January exit according to the Metro.
The 29 year old is yet to start a single Premier League fixture this season, this despite the fact that both Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud have been out with lengthy injuries, and must now be considering the possibility of a future away from north London.
“I have a contract with Arsenal until 2016. I feel at home in London and get on with the fans very well.”
“Nevertheless, I will try to speak with the coach and the club to see what is best for all parties.
“I want to play football and am not the type to sit on the bench until my contract expires.
Arsenal paid £11m for Podolski in the summer of 2012 and his tally of 28 goals in 74 appearances though by no means woeful is perhaps not as Wenger would’ve wished from such an accomplished performer.
The summer arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez would surely have left the German international fearful of his chances of regular first team action and that certainly appears to have limited his role at Arsenal.
