11. Adnan Januzaj – 6
Still shows real promise and although his final ball needs a lot of work the 19-year-old could develop into a top-class talent.
20. Robin van Persie – 7
Was not the van Persie of old, but with both Radamel Falcao and Wayne Rooney absent the 31-year-old stepped up in the end with a goal.
7. Angel di Maria – 6
Seemed a little jaded having been rushed back to the starting XI after injury and di Maria was far from his best, but did provide the assist for the goal.

49. James Wilson – 5
Was not quite like when Wilson scored against Hull City last season as the youngster struggled to make an impact on the game.
Manager – Louis van Gaal – 6
Made some shrewd decisions such as putting Fellaini in midfield and playing a compact defence, but it nearly didn’t pay off.
