Now receiving psychological help to control his in-game emotions to ensure he never bites an opponent again, Suarez will be doing his level best to be on his best behaviour as his Barcelona career finally gets underway.

However, he has apparently showed that his tactile nature is still very much an overriding virtue, as he reached out to grab Sergio Ramos’ groin while contesting a ball during Saturday night’s encounter.

Ramos obviously felt it, but did his new counterpart a favour by not complaining to the referee and just getting on with the game.

But Suarez will need to keep his behaviour in check, as there will be more eyes on him than ever now.
