Turish Super League club Trabzonspor have confirmed that Premier League giants Manchester United have scouted their in-form striker Abdul Majeed Waris, report the Mail, seeming to confirm suggestions that the Red Devils had representatives at the club’s Europa League victory over Lokeren last week.

Ghanaian international Waris has been in fine form for Trabzonspor this summer since joining from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow, continuing his form from Valenciennes, where Waris spent a successful loan season despite failing to keep the club in the French top flight.

It had been suggested that United had sent assistant manager Ryan Giggs to Turkey last week to scout Waris during the Europa League tie against Belgian outfit Lokeren, and comments from Trabzonspor now seem to confirmed that representatives from United have been watching their player in recent weeks:

“We have not have any direct offers however, we know Manchester United are scouting Waris and keeping close tabs on him.”
