Premier League sides face competition for midfielder.
AC Milan are the latest side to be linked with a move to sign out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.
The Italian giants could do with strengthening their squad after a difficult few years, and are keen to jump at the chance to sign a superb player who looks set to be available on a free transfer next summer.
The German international has also attracted strong interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times, but it remains to be seen if he will head to the Premier League or favour a switch to Serie A.
It could even be that Khedira will continue to remain with Real Madrid, though he has reportedly turned down offers of a new contract on a number of occasions in recent times, and there is not long left remaining on his current deal, which would allow him to open negotiations with other European clubs from January onwards.
This has alerted Milan, who will attempt to rival some big names for the signature of the World Cup winner, who has won La Liga and the Champions League during his successful spell at the Bernabeu.
