Cruzeiro willing to sell Lucas Silva if an acceptable bid is made.
Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are on red alert after Brasileiro high flyers Cruzeiro named a £12 million price for young Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva, report the Daily Star, with the 21 year-old looking set for a move to a major European league on the back of a wonderful season for the in-form Cruzeiro.
Real Madrid are also believed to be tracking the 21 year-old’s progress and have lodged a £10m bid with Cruzeiro for his services, but the Brazilian outfit are believed to be holding out for at least £12m for their star asset – which could give time for any of the English sides who hold an interest to get involved in a bidding war.
An all-round midfielder with both energy and creativity, Silva has been one of Brazilian domestic football’s most impressive performers so far this season for a club who have overachieved and ensconced themselves at the top of the table.
Manchester United have been regularly linked with Silva since manager Louis van Gaal took over from David Moyes in the summer, with the Dutchman seemingly a fan of the youngster, but Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested and could get involved in any transfer tussle.
