Emirates Stadium midfielder sidelined until next March.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be without midfielder Jack Wilshere until next March with his ankle injury seemingly being worse than first feared according to the Metro.
The 22 year old England man suffered his injury following a challenge by Man United youngster Paddy McNair last month and eas expected to be out of action for three months but further tests have revealed the full extent of the problem, which will leave the key Gunners star to be out for a total of as much as five months.
Wilshere has suffered a number of injuries during his Arsenal career and Wenger has seen a raft of his squad sidelined this term and could well have done without this news.
Wenger came in for a fair amount of criticism following his side’s latest defeat, a 3-2 loss at Stoke City, and many will claim that the French manager could pay the price for not investing more in his squad over the summer, not least as his back-line has been decimated at times this term.
Though Wilshere is into his seventh season in the Arsenal first team set-up he has amazingly only started 77 Premier League fixtures, such have been his struggles with injuries during the course of his career.
