United want £90m-rated Bale this January.

Manchester United are ready to bring forward their move to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale to the January transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

The Red Devils have been linked with a stunning £90m move to sign the Welshman, and now hope they can bring him to Old Trafford this season after initial claims that a move would be more likely in the summer.

It does still seem an ambitious attempt by United, who spent big on a number of other star players this summer, and who may find Real unwilling to let one of their top players go in the middle of the season.

Bale is seemingly happy with life in Spain, despite some speculation that the club are ready to offload him in their own pursuit of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard as a replacement.

A Spanish football expert is quoted as saying that although United can afford Bale, they are unlikely to persuade him to make the return to the Premier League at this time.
