Manchester United could be set to spend as much as £137m on the signing of two world class players to improve their squad in the next couple of transfer windows, according to reports.

The Red Devils spent close to that amount this summer alone, bringing in the likes of Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera and Radamel Falcao in an epic transfer window spending spree.

The Welshman has been linked with the club in the past and is firmly on their agenda again this winter as it has emerged that the Spanish giants may be ready to let him go to fund moves for other top targets. Bale has also been linked with Chelsea in recent times.
