Manchester United transfer news
The French international had been a top target for the Premier League champions as they look to strengthen in the attacking midfield department this January, but they now look to have shifted their focus to Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.
This move for the former Chelsea attacker means there may be a more clear path for their rivals to sign Pogba, who is no longer thought to be a priority for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Pogba looks destined to make a big-money move to an elite club in the near future, and it could be that the Premier League will be his next destination as the likes of Chelsea and United step up their interest.
It is also claimed that both clubs could also try their luck with a move for Everton wonderkid Ross Barkley, another previous top target for City who is no longer top of the club’s list.
