Fabio Borini is glad he didn’t leave Anfield over the summer
There were offers of £14m and £13m from Sunderland and QPR respectively at the end of last season – which were both accepted – both Borini chose to stay and fight for his place.
The Italian has played 13 times since, but is yet to score and yet despite that still insists he has no regrets in choosing not to leave Merseyside.
“I’ve never regretted staying here. Yes, I could have left but I wanted to stay at Liverpool and I’m glad I did,” Borini told the Liverpool Echo.
