Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his back line before the end of January…
Arsenal are considering signing AC Milan centre-back Adil Rami and Valencia right-back Joao Pereira before the end of the January transfer window, reports the Daily Star.
If they were to sign both of these players then they will have brought in three defenders in to the club during the last month. That could be four if you count Krystian Bielik as well, who normally plays in midfield but has the capability to play at the back.
Pereira has been told he can leave, and could be a short term replacement for the injured Mathieu Debuchy. Meanwhile Rami only signed for the Rossoneri in the summer, but could be available for £6m despite settling in well there.
The Gunners are looking to improve their defence as their back four has looked shaky this campaign whilst Debuchy, Kieran Gibbs and Laurent Koscielny have suffered repeated injuries leaving Arsene Wenger’s squad stretched to breaking point at the back.
