The German has been on both of the Premier League giant’s hitlists since last summer when it became clear he was unwanted at Madrid and would not be receiving an extension to his current deal.
But when the 27 year old’s contract does expire at the close of this season he will instead make the switch from the Bernabeu to the Allianz Arena, according to Daily Express.
Khedira has struggled to get game time at Madrid following a serious knee injury in 2013 with Carlo Ancelotti opting for both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric ahead of the former Stuttgart man.
And now with the additions of youngster Lucas Silva and the teenager Martin Odegaard, the German will be flung even further down the pecking order.
Khedira has started just one league game this season for Real but is being touted as a possible replacement for Toni Kroos at Bayern after he left the Bavarians in the summer for Los Blancos.
Arsenal have been targeting a midfielder but it appears they will have to look elsewhere as Khedira has seemingly agreed to join the Bundesliga champions.
