He presumably won’t be short of suitors being on offer for such a minuscule fee…

The Mexican centre back is said to be available for a little as £5m at the end of this season as his contract expires in June 2016 and the club are looking to recoup some money from his sale, rather than late him escape on a free.

Such a small figure would represent something of a coup for a player who has amassed 57 caps for his national side.

And Arsenal were reported to be interested in Moreno according to respected Spanish journalist Kike Marin. However, this was before the Gunners signed another La Liga defender – Gabriel from Villarreal.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have also been in the market for a defensive signing but whilst the report claims they are interested in the Mexican, other targets are higher up their wishlist including; Borussia Dortmund’s centre back Mats Hummels.

Whilst it’s clear the defender will be on the move come the summer, it’s unclear if he will still be on the radar of both Premier League sides or particularly if he’s even their first choices.
