When German youth international Serge Gnabry made his Arsenal debut in September 2012, many tipped him to be a Gunners regular within 12 months.

Unfortunately, the 19-year-old has only featured in 18 first-team matches to date.

His lack of senior appearances is largely down to his injury issues.

Gnabry has not played for Arsene Wenger’s side since March last year due to a serious knee problem.

However, he has worked hard to get fit again and he made his return to the field of play at Newcastle United on Monday night.

Gnabry got 65 minutes under his belt as Arsenal’s Under-21s beat Newcastle’s youngsters 2-1.
