Dejan Lovren thinks that the current Liverpool squad can achieve big things.
Following Sunday’s 2-0 victory against his old club Southampton, Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren believes there’s no limit to what Brendan Rodgers’s side can achieve, reports BT Sport.
“We have massive, massive talent and we can just go higher and higher because everyone is so young,” said the Croatian international.
Liverpool’s victory moved them just one point and one place behind yesterday’s opposition, and well into Champions League qualification contention, and Lovren thinks that this may be the beginning of a successful period for the club.
“With the talent and young (players), I think we can achieve whatever we want, whatever we imagine,” Lovren continued.
Following a tough start to the season, Liverpool have started to revive the success of last season, where they came so close to clinching their first Premier League title.
The Reds are unbeaten since mid-December, and have good chance of clinching a trophy this season. Their next game is the second leg of their Europa League tie with Besiktas – where they lead 1-0, thanks to Mario Balotelli’s now infamous penalty – and the club are currently favourites to lift the FA Cup, despite Manchester United and Arsenal still being in the competition.
