Wenger could well do with bringing in a strong midfield presence, even after the recent emergence of Francis Coquelin, but one would have to doubt the veracity of this report.
Indeed this source suggests that Arsenal’s interest in Pogba is only due to the fact that number one target, Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, is now a Barcelona target.
This point is especially hard to fathom given that the La Liga side are banned from signing players in 2015.
21 year old French international Pogba is arguably the hottest young prospect in world football and is well worth that astronomical sums banded about but Arsenal seem unlikely to be the club to make such offers.
Juventus signed Pogba for a paltry fee back in 2012, bringing in the former Man United man for a compensatory fee after he ran down his Old Trafford contract, and as such a massive offer may well be one the Italian giants considers if the player himself pushes for a Turin exit.
