4) Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus)
Once a powerhouse of European football, Juventus are just a little bit short in this competition at the moment, and have made little impact in recent years despite building a strong squad that has dominated Serie A with three title wins in a row. In Massimiliano Allegri, they have a decent manager who remains something of an unknown quantity at this level, having had a mixed time at previous club AC Milan, but it’s questionable if he looks like having what it takes to replicate the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Fabio Capello and Marcelo Lippi as one of the great Italian coaches.
