His outstanding goalscoring form has seen a number of clubs line up for his signature.
The agent of Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto has said he could sign for Liverpool who admire him very much.
The 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Real Madrid and is also on the radar of two undisclosed Bundesliga clubs, has a release clause of €10 million and could leave Villarreal in the summer.
“We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto,” said Jorge Cysterpiller, reports AS.
“There is a lot of competition for him. He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.”
Vietto has been on a monumental rise in Spanish football despite only arriving in La Liga last summer from Racing Club in Argentina.
So far this season he has hit 11 goals for the Yellow Submarine in the Spanish league alone and five in the Europa League.
The Daily Express only reported yesterday that Liverpool saw Vietto, dubbed ‘the next Sergio Aguero’, as a cheap and viable replacement for flop striker Mario Balotelli in the summer.
However, the competition from Real will be fierce as they seek a serious forward option for Karim Benzema to compete with on a weekly basis.
