We’ve decided to delve into the archives and retrieve the best goals scored by Irish heroes.

Stephanie Roche was arguably robbed of the 2014 FIFA Puskas award after being nominated alongside Robin van Persie and James Rodriguez, but ended up in third place. Despite (infamously) catching the eye of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in her stunning outfit, Roche would’ve certainly wanted to leave with the award she undoubtedly deserved.

However in World Cup 1994, legendary midfielder Ray Houghton produced a sensational effort against Italy which is savoured to this very day.
