By all accounts the Etihad Stadium side have taken a keen interest in midfielder Jack Wilshere, with the Premier League title holders looking to strengthen their homegrown contingent, and apparently Arsene Wenger may be open to the possibility of selling the fan favourite.
A host of players have left north London for Man City in recent seasons, the likes of Kolo Toure, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gael Clichy being four such examples, but undoubtedly Wilshere’s potential move would be a biggest surprise than all of those transfer put together.
Whilst it’s true that Wilshere is yet to deliver on his obvious potential it seems unlikely that Wenger would give up on the player.
Though still just 23 years of age Wilshere is into his seventh season in the Arsenal first team set-up, though has suffered a fair bit with niggling injuries, and is a player who still has a great deal to offer the Gunners.
