The 27 year old Argentine is apparently ready to quit the San Paolo oufit and the Gunners are keen to bring in the former Real Madrid man, despite the fact that Arsene Wenger’s current attack is performing wonders this term.
Higuain has bagged 46 goals in 87 appearances since leaving the Bernabeu for Naples and may be keen on a fresh challenge.
It’s not instantly obvious as to where Higuain would fit into an Emirates Stadium front-line that has seen the likes of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla all combining well.
That said, the future is unclear with regards to loaned out trio Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski, and as such there may be scope for boosting the club’s overall attacking line-up should the trio be on their way out.
Prior to his move to Italy Higuain netted 122 goals for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
