Old Trafford side continue to chase PSV Eindhoven starlet.
Man United have reportedly made contact with PSV Eindhoven as they seek to sign Memphis Depay according to the Metro.
The 21 year old has been dubbed the ‘Dutch Cristiano Ronaldo’ and has helped his side to an Eredivisie title this term and the Metro claim the winger is ‘all but certain’ to make a summer move.
PSG are also pursuing Depay, who has racked up 26 goals in all competitions this term, and a move for the youngster will cost aorund £23m.
Given that Angel di Maria hasn’t impressed since his £59.7m move to Man United one can well see why Louis van Gaal would be looking at potential wide-attacking additions.
Van Gaal knows Depay well from his time in charge of the Dutch national team set-up, indeed the Old Trafford boss showed great faith in the starlet as he offered the PSV Eindhoven man a starring role at the 2014 World Cup finals, during which he netted twice.
