Chelsea are interested in making a move for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to Fichajes.
However, this would be a very surprising move considering the Gunners spent £42.5 million on the player the summer before last, reported The Guardian. The World Cup winner has since become a key player at the Emirates, and has been especially important in their recent great run of form.
The 26-year-old has played under Blues boss Jose Mourinho before, and Fichajes believe that the pair still regularly speak now they are both in London. This could make a transfer more likely, but even so it would be major surprise. As the North London club spent so much on Ozil in first place and he still has three years left on his contract, it would probably take a massive offer to tempt Arsene Wenger in to selling.
