Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has praised Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.
The Italy international has been one of the outstanding performers of the Ligue 1 season so far. He has contributed five assists and scored once as PSG have sought to retain their French crown.
Despite being only 22, he will one of Laurent Blanc’s sides key hopes as they look to overturn their 3-1 deficit against Barcelona in their Champions League quarter-final second leg match on Tuesday evening.
The midfielder’s excellent form and growing prominence within the world game have led to rumours of a move away from the Parc des Princes.

However, as reported by Le 10 Sport, while Los Merengues coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied that he is in for the player, he has praised Verratti, naming him the best Italian footballer in the world today.
“I like him a lot,” ex-PSG coach Ancelotti began, “but I haven’t tried to sign him. He is untouchable at PSG, he’s not for sale, but for me he’s the best Italian footballer at the moment.”
