Manchester United transfer rumours
The former Barcelona boss is keen to bolster his squad this summer as he prepares for, potentially, his final season at the Allianz Arena.
One player who Guardiola is following with particular interest is France international Antoine Griezmann.
Heading into Saturday’s stunning two-goal performance against Elche in La Liga, he had already bagged 20 this season and also demonstrated his class—in spells—against Real Madrid in Atleti’s Champions League quarter-final defeat.
Griezmann’s form has reportedly made him a target for Manchester United as Louis van Gaal looks to refine his options this summer, but the Red Devils now face competition from Bayern, according to Le 10 Sport.
Griezmann began his career at Real Sociedad, and featured over 170 times for the club in the league before moving to join Diego Simeone at the Vicente Calderon last summer.
He is a regular feature in Didier Deschamps’s France squads and represented Les Bleus at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
