Gunners stalemate hands Blues title.
Arsene Wenger has conceded that Arsenal’s failure to defeat Chelsea on Sunday means that it’s impossible for the Blues to lose the Premier League title now according to Goal.com.
Arsenal had the upper hand for much of their 0-0 draw with Chelsea and were unable to break down the away side, who had seemingly played for a draw for much of the second half.
“A win today [for Arsenal] was absolutely necessary. But, it’s impossible (for Chelsea) to lose it now.”
“They are a good side, because they defend very well, in their recent games they didn’t concede goals and today again they defended very well.
“Firstly that was down to their quality in defending, and secondly maybe we lacked a little bit of freedom in expression in our offensive game.”
Despite Arsenal’s run of eight wins and a draw from their last night Premier League fixtures the Gunners still sit some ten points behind Chelsea, and now down in third behind Man City, and this goes to show just how poor Wenger’s side performed in the first half of the season.
