Tijuana forfeited possession deep in Toluca’s half, but a lightening break from ‘Los Diablos Rojos’ saw the ball end up with the 23 year old on the edge of the Tijuana penalty area. He burst past two more players, and made no mistake in drilling a lovely effort into the bottom corner.
Guisao only joined Toluca last winter after a moving from Colombian giants Atletico Nacional. Since arriving he’s struggled to establish his place in the first team and has been limited to just two league starts before today. Nonetheless, his sixth minute goal is his 3rd of the year and will boost his claims for a starting berth going forward.
Toluca could move into the top eight with a win – a position that would be good enough for a place in the post-season play-offs.
