PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay has dropped a hint on Facebook that he is going to join Liverpool ahead of Manchester United, reports the Metro.
The 21-year-old like a post on the site that was welcoming him to the Merseyside club. This could mean that he is ready to move to Anfield ahead of joining the Red Devils, which would be a major blow to Louis van Gaal’s summer before it has even started.
As the winger has worked with van Gaal before when the 63-year-old was in charge of the Holland national team, some had thought that the United boss could use this relationship to his advantage. With the Old Trafford outfit much more likely to have Champions League football next season it is even more surprising that the youngster could have chosen Liverpool.
Both Premier League sides are interested in the Dutchman because of the stellar campaign he has had. The midfielder has scored 26 goals in 37 appearances for PSV, helping them to win the Eredivisie.
