Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal had earmarked [via talkSPORT] the PSG forward as the man he wanted to replace Radamel Falcao, but Juventus are the favourites for his signature with talks to take place before the summer transfer window opens.

According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, the Champions League finalists are close to confirming that a deal has been agreed with Palermo for Paulo Dybala, and want to add more attacking firepower to their squad by signing the former Napoli star.

The report claims that Juve officials will fly to Paris on Wednesday to discuss a possible move to Turin with the striker and his representatives.

Carlos Tevez’s future with Massimiliano Allegri’s side is uncertain beyond the close of the season, and the Uruguay international could be a potential replacement to the Argentine.

However, Cavani would have to take a pay-cut if he wants a move to the Serie A champions; the Italian giants are not willing to match the €10m he’s currently earning with PSG, and are instead lining up a contract worth around €7/8m.

Nonetheless, the lure of returning to Italy and escaping the shadow of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Parc des Princes could be enough to persuade him that a transfer to the Bianconeri would be a correct move for his career – even if his wages do take a hit.
