According to several reports in the Mexican media – included Record – the 25 year old would relish the chance to move to England, and Tottenham are his most likely destination.

Having scored a stunning first half hat-trick in his Chivas’ 4-1 quarter final win over city rivals Atlas in the Liga MX playoff quarter finals at the weekend, he has put himself in the shop window at exactly the right time.

He came through the ranks at Chivas, but quickly developed a reputation as party animal – someone that loved fame more than the sport.

However, his career enjoyed a mini renaissance last season on loan at Cruz Azul, and he was included in Miguel Herrera’s 23 man squad for the World Cup in Brazil.

He would reportedly cost around $15 million.
